OSPEK BERSAMA RAMADHAN

OPSPEK 2010 STAIN KEDIRI

(Mempertegas Kesadaran Kritis Mahasiswa dalam Mengejawentahkan Gerakan Sosial Kemasyarakatan)

Setelah lama menganggur akhirnya, saat-saat untuk persiapan kuliah dimulai. Diterima di sebuah sekolah tinggi di kota kelahiran saya. Saya bersiap untuk melakukan aktivitas layaknya calon mahasiswa baru, yakni OSPEK atau orientasi dari kampus tempat dimana saya akan melanjutkan study saya. Selanjutnya, adalah potongan cerita dari OPSPEK.

OPSPEK is an activity that must be joined by all of the candidates of new student. Like in other school, we learnt about the school is, the system of the education, and how the administration in their works. In Nation Islamic College of Kediri (Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negri Kediri), the activity started on 28th August – 2nd September 2010. We started our program by preparing everything we needed. The costume was the most important part because if we did not wear the right costume we’d be punish by the comitee of security. And you know how evil they are. Hehehe, it’s just my oppinion. Here my costume which I wore in OPSPEK.


Besides that strange costume we had to wear batik and black trousers, black hat that binded by red-white ribbons (for boys). And for girls (black long skirt and black veil, we also wore red-white ribbon around our head. I thought it was such annoying things, but I agreed that all of the regulations are for the discipline attitude of the new student. But there was an incident that burnt the condition. A kind of demonstration suddenly happened in the middle checking cama-cami (the call for new student). It made the condition became frightening and scary. There were some ‘cama-cami’s who forced the security to break down. Huh! I was scared at that time. How not? All of the participants screamed and screamed aloud. Some girls looked frightening included me. But, the condition began cooling down after the mediation between ‘cama-cami’ and the committee. What a relief!


The schedule was held as written in the modul. And the activity was like the previous day. Most of the activities were discussions about college, how to struggle in the new college, knowledge about the role of a real student, and many others. It’s impossible for me to tell it one-by-one here. So, I continue to the most unbelieveable experience in this event. That was the Art Parade by the Cama-Cami. It’s one of the schedules in this event. This event is the place for talented student in art and many kind of performance. There were drama, poem-musicalization, magics, singing performances, etc. One drama that would not I forget is when the story went on, in the middle of the drama I surprised by a Pocong (one of kind of the popular ghost in Indonesia). Never did I wonder that he came close to me till he stood up beside me. WAW! ARGH! I just could hide my scared face and turn back. I’d not want to glance at that creature! Any second! Unfortunately, I could not take some pictures when that pocong got closer to me because I was so afraid. Here are some of our agendas at the 3rd day in OPSPEK STAIN KEDIRI 2010.

That’s all my experiences in OPSPEK STAIN KEDIRI 2010. I never wonder that it was so fun and tiring event. Although this event was held in Ramadhan Month, it had a lot of experiences, knowledges, pleasures and many new friends. For the next, I’ll write about WELCOME FRESHMEN, the special event for new student of English Language Education Department in STAIN KEDIRI. So many games there!
