Facial Flaws Failed the Job

People start to think about facial flaws such as birthmark, scars, and other blemishes may be the cause of why you failed to get a job. Facial flaws failed the job sounds like an unconsidered decision to conclude. However, there a lot of arguments about facial flaws failed the job.

Among some people who do a research about facial flaws failed the job, they said that it is proven that something like birthmark, scars or even dark spots which appear on face are disturbing while the interview. It means that while interviewing, the interviewer has not been in concerning to interviewee speaking. The facial flaws disturb the interviewer when the interview running and as the result, they don’t get anything clear about the applicants who have facial flaws so that it says no jobs for the one who has facial flaws. It has been happening further in some workspace, that there’s applicant who’s not received by the company since he or she has facial flaws. The fact tells that it is not fair to blame the facial flaws failed the job.

According to investigators at Rice University and University of Houston, the facial flaws can distract by its unusual appearance and make the interviewers get less information about the candidates since they keep disturbed by the facial flaws.

A psychologist professor from Rice University said that when evaluating applicants in an interview setting, it is important to remember what the interviewees are saying. But the research tells that if you recall less information about the ability and competency of the candidates for you are distracted by characteristic of their face, it decrease your whole evaluation of them. If the evaluation is less about their information, how could the interviewer decide the one who will be received? Without any complete information about competent candidates, it won’t let them finish immediately finding the appropriate candidates. Once again, it seems that the facial flaws failed the job is true.

Other experiment about some managers who has already had much experience of interviewing job applicants tells the similar thing. That they are still distracted by the birthmark, acnes, scars and any other facial flaws, it likely the theory about facial flaws failed the job gets to the clear point.

It shows that probably the discrimination among workplace, the managers and the candidates has occurred and less decreased. It is not fair for those who are capable in their field but refused to get a job due to their facial unusual flaws. There should be any awareness about this discrimination side of workplace, thus the underestimation in workplace can be decreased. It is not the fault of facial flaws, in fact, if you were professional in managing applicants-deciding who is reasonable to choose- you should have not seen into their facial flaws which you mean as the facial flaws failed the job. –dsn.
